TUTOR: Isabelle Ting McGowan
DATES: Thursdays - various dates
TIME: 9.30 a.m. – 2.00 p.m.
COST: Members ONLY $50

You MUST have completed our Bookbinding course for Beginners, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3

Other Information:
Good eye/hand coordination and good dexterity are necessary for this course as sharp knives are used in the cutting of board and paper.
You will be shown correct procedure in the use of these tools but good co-ordination will assure accurate cutting and prevention of injury.
Closed in shoes MUST be worn at all times.

Course information:
One of the most asked question is "What happens after one of our Beginner's or Level 1, 2, 3 courses?" Our answer is "Practice, practice, practice!" However, if you have forgotten how to sew sections, remember the steps or just want help and support to re-make any of the bookbinding styles you have learnt, then this is the course for you.

Course content:
This session is intended to refresh your memory and help get you back on track. All the bookbinding techniques learnt during any of the Traditional Bookbinding workshops can be demonstrated on request. You will have individual tutor's attention to go over any other technique you have forgotten, gather advice and have questions answered. Please note, you can only re-make book binding techniques from a course you have attended!

PLEASE BRING your own paper, leather, book cloth and decorative covering paper - whatever you need to make your chosen book. All other materials and tools will be provided. Participants will be able to purchase materials from the Bindery if they wish.

Other Information:
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be supplied. There will be tea breaks and lunch which you are welcome to bring with you or there are cafes and markets nearby.
Please wear closed in shoes.
