Course information:
The bookplate is a wonderful miniature art form. Working within 10 x 7.5 cm create a bookplate for yourself or for a book loving friend. Working with a single colour explore the graphic possibilities of black and white. A finishing option of hand colouring with gouache or watercolour will be possible.

In this two day course during you will be introduced to the basics of linocut in order to execute two bookplate designs. These will be designed and cut on day 1 and printed on day 2. There will be an introduction to bookplates and their history. The tutor will guide you in how to design an effective and graphic linocut, and demonstrate different linocut techniques.
